I Become a Certified Scuba Diver

Because I am sailing around the world my Uncle Miko suggested scuba diving lessons.  So I spent the next month anticipating the lessons.  The lessons started a short while after me and my Dad went to my Uncle’s diveshop.  We had the lessons at Chinquapin Rec Center.  The lessons took place every Tuesday and were very fun and interesting.  At first my body was confused because you can’t breathe under water – I didn’t think that was possible but then I sort of got used to it and it turned out to be a lot of fun.    But then the classes got a little bit harder because I had to do weird things for safety.  And then after three classes, me and my family went down to a bed and breakfast in Rawlings, VA and then we went to Lake Rawlings and I did my certification dives.  While I was diving, a bass attacked and I had to do the same weird stuff I did in the pool.  There was some really gross stuff in the lake but most of it was really cool.  There was a school bus and an airplane that they had sunk in the lake so it made the lake more interesting.  And then a few weeks later we went back down to my Uncle’s diveshop to look at diving equipment and to get our certification cards.

You are the man! I forgot what you taught me about the Benz being on the way up or down? I trust you to know. I would love to go, but no where close to where there is a sunk school buses or airplanes. Yuk, I don’t want to get grossed out, I’ll leave that to you:>)

Could we just do some snorkeling? Maybe I’ll get certified before I come visit when your in the Caribbean somewhere!

Don’t forget that you owe me money, I forget why, but just that you do, remember? :>)

    I’ll see you soon,
    Love,
    Debbie
